    The Opportunity

    Managers have a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting matters, financial statement analysis, investigative skills, and financial knowledge. This role will provide leadership on client engagements and managers are responsible for day-to-day client interactions, client deliverables, project management, budgets, and quality assurance, as well as supervising and coaching staff. They also develop and maintain relationships with clients and actively participate in the generation of new client projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Coach, develop, mentor, and motivate team members.
    • Demonstrate advanced consulting capabilities by displaying industry/practice expertise.
    • Develop work papers, provide quality control over client product, evaluate data, and communicate results to the team and the client. Also, will be responsible for developing client engagement work programs.
    • Manage day-to-day client interactions and effectively communicate with all levels of client personnel.
    • Participate in business development by demonstrating an understanding of our services and recognizing opportunities for them within a client situation.
    • Present fully-developed conclusions to the partner on the engagement.
    • Research technical finance and accounting topics.
    • Resolve project and client concerns.
    • Serve in an oversight capacity for all client deliverables including ensuring overall work product quality.
    • Take a leadership role on one or more engagements and are responsible for client deliverables, budgets, deadlines, and quality assurance.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in GAAP/GAAS research, experience addressing a broad range of technical accounting issues in which the candidate played a significant role in issue identification, research, documentation, and communication of the conclusion to members of the team and the client.
    • Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency understanding and analyzing financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows and demonstrated ability to perform ratio analysis.
    • Analytical ability.
    • Degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required; CPA, CFE, or other relevant credential is also required.
    • Effective communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in the creation of Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and PowerPoint presentations.
    • Supervisory coaching and mentoring experience.

    Senior Associates will provide consulting services on client engagements – including financial modeling and analysis, data management, documentation of workpapers, and support for communication of findings. Senior Associates will build client relationship skills, supervise, and develop team members and manage projects on client assignments.

    Responsibilities

    • Gain exposure to clients and develop client relationship skills.
    • Share expertise and develop skills of junior team members.
    • Create, maintain, and review work product (documents/data).
    • Suggest approaches and solutions related to client assignments.
    • Coach less experienced employees formally or informally.
    • Spend the majority of their time on client assignments.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
    • CPA, CFE, CFA or working towards a relevant credential.
    • Ability to conduct GAAP/GAAS research.
    • A good understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting.
    • Ability to perform financial statement analysis.
    • Experienced in an array of fundamental analytical techniques including problem definition, data gathering, and analysis.
    • Ability to understand and conduct detailed analysis of various financial statements including cash flows, balance sheets, and income statements.
    • Proficient in the creation of Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and PowerPoint presentations.
    • Demonstrates analytical ability.
    • Solid communication skills – both written and oral.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute as a member of the engagement team by executing tasks, assisting team members, and by supporting overall project administration.
    • With direction/guidance, provides analytic support to projects.
    • Create and maintain work product (documents/data).
    • Build consulting skills and analytic techniques through client engagements and by taking advantage of opportunities to attend training, conferences, and sit for certifications.
    • Provide analytical support and quality assurance related to the work product.
    • Develop practice knowledge.
    • Respond to basic client inquiries and develop working rapport with clients.

    Basic Qualifications

    • One to three years of work experience in an accounting or financial role.
    • Undergraduate degree in economics, accounting, or finance is required.
    • Working toward a CPA, CFE, or CFA is preferred.
    • A basic understanding of the following is expected:
      – Financial statement analysis
      – Research skills
      – Financial modeling
    • Strong computer skills including Excel, Access, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
    • Solid communication skills – both written and oral.
