Derek J. Miller
DEREK J. MILLER, CFE is an Associate at Floyd Advisory. He has experience with forensic accounting, dispute consulting, and complex business litigation engagements in the manufacturing, real estate, private equity, and financial services industries.
Mr. Miller has contributed analysis and assistance to post-acquisition purchase price disputes, forensic accounting investigations, and corporate monitorship engagements. He has provided support to counsel through financial analyses and models related to the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in areas including revenue recognition, asset impairment, and accounting for multi-element manufacturing arrangements. He also has experience evaluating the reasonableness of public disclosures and financial reporting by public companies and assessing a company’s internal controls. His work has involved federal and state government agencies such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Mr. Miller makes valuable contributions to our firm’s quarterly publications. His research focuses on current SEC accounting and audit enforcement initiatives.
Mr. Miller graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and is currently pursuing his Certified Public Accountant credential.
